The limited grievance of the petitioner is that his stay application filed in the pending appeal preferred against the order of resumption passed by the 3rd respondent on 30-11-2007 is not being entertained. The petitioner is stated to have filed an appeal along with an application seeking stay on 26-10-2015 and states that no date of hearing is yet fixed thereon. Heard the learned Government Pleader for Revenue. In the circumstances, the 2nd respondent is directed to fix an early date of hearing in the petitioner's appeal and the stay application therein, after notice to the petitioner and then hear and dispose of the stay application atleast, preferably within a week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
