THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE T.VI NOD KUMAR WRI T PETI TI ON No.26633 of 2019 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed questioning the inaction on the part of respondent No.2 in considering the application of the petitioner dated 07.10.2014 for grant of Arms license for self-protection and to declare the same as arbitrary, discriminatory, highhanded and ex-facie illegal and dereliction of duty.

During the course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that subsequent to the filing of this writ petition, the second respondent has passed order No.HW-3/Arms/86/2014-2019, dated 13.12.2019, rejecting the application of the petitioner for grant of fresh arms license.

Since the second respondent has passed an order against which the petitioner can avail appropriate remedy, the cause in the writ petition does not survive any more, no orders need be passed in the present writ petition.

The writ petition is accordingly closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
