THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T.SUNIL CHOWDARY WRIT PETITION No.26282 OF 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of the second respondent for granting permission to the Gram Panchayat to collect parking fee.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj and Sri G.Narender Reddy the learned Standing Counsel for the third respondent. The petitioner - Gram Panchayat is situated on the bank of River Krishna. It is the case of the petitioner that number of people will come to Vatavarlapally on the eve of Krishna Pushkaralu. The pilgrims may come to the village with vehicles. The Gram Panchayat passed an unanimous resolution on 21.06.2016 requesting the second respondent to permit the Gram Panchayat to collect parking fee. The only grievance of the petitioner is that the second respondent has not disposed of the representation of the petitioner. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the second respondent is hereby directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 21.06.2016 in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of ten (10) days from today.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.

Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
