THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.S.RAMACHANDRA RAO WRIT PETITION No.16590 of 2008 ORDER:

Petitioners' grievance is that they had applied on 15-10-2007 for issuance of social status certificate to petitioner Nos.2 to 4 under the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh (SC, ST & BCs) Regulation of Issue of Community Certificates Act, 1993 before the 4th respondent and that the 4th respondent had not passed any orders thereon.

Learned Government Pleader for Social Welfare appearing for respondents states that 4th respondent will consider petitioners' application for issuance of caste certificate, conduct enquiry after giving notice to petitioners and after considering the material produced by petitioners, pass a reasoned order within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the said order to petitioners.

In view of the said submission, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 4th respondent consider petitioners' application dt.15-10-2007 for issuance of caste certificate, conduct enquiry after giving notice to petitioners and after considering the material produced by petitioners, pass a reasoned order within three (03) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the said order to petitioners. No costs.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the claim of petitioners.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed.
