THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE V. RAMASUBRAMANIAN AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE N.BALAYOGI WRIT PETITION No.23304 OF 2018 ORDER: (per V. Ramasubramanian, J) The petitioner has come up with the above writ petition challenging the action of the respondents in treating him as a non-local student, for the purpose of admission to Medical Courses.
2. Heard Mr.P.Sridhar Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr.A.Prabhakar Rao, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for the University.
3. Admittedly, the petitioner studied for two years, in the State of Karnataka. Therefore, the petitioner could not satisfy the eligibility criteria.
4. Identical cases were dismissed by us, one of which was in W.P. No.24529 of 2017 dated 31.07.2017. It is only in cases where the children were forced to study outside the State on account of the parents being employed in All India Services or in Defence Services that an exception was made. This case does not fall under that category. Therefore, following the similar order, the writ petition is dismissed.
5. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand dismissed. No order as to costs. _____________________ V. RAMASUBRAMANIAN, J _____________ N. BALAYOGI, J July 20, 2018 KTL
