Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Transport.

With the consent of both the parties, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

The present writ petition is filed with the following prayer: "For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, the petitioner prays that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue an order, writ or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus under Article 226 of the Constitution of India declaring the inaction of the respondents on the petitioner's representation dated 20.06.2016, for release of the vehicle bearing No. AP 20 TB 1116, Engine No.84066823, Chassis No.MAT466420CS41408 belonging to the petitioner as illegal, arbitrary and violative of Articles 19, 21 of Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to release the said vehicle from the custody of respondent Nos.2 and 3 and to pass such other order or orders that this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the interest of justice."

Though various grounds are raised, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the third respondent to pass orders on the representation dated 20.06.2016. Having regard to the above and without going into merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of directing the third respondent to pass orders on the representation dated 20.06.2016, within one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, in
