This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the respondents in not registering the complaint of the petitioner dated 18.07.2016 by conducting enquiry.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home produced written instructions stating that the complaint of the petitioner was enquired into and found to be civil in nature; and that petitioner was also issued notice through courier. But the same is disputed by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the same, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent police to take action on the complaint of the petitioner by following the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari v. Government of Uttar Pradesh (2014) 2 SCC 1, if not already followed. No order as to costs.
