Heard Ms.G.Sindhu for petitioners, Government Pleaders for Panchayat Raj & Revenue, and Standing Counsel for 6th Respondent.

The learned counsel for the parties submit that with the passage of time from the date of filing writ petition till date, and having regard to the construction of a water tank at some other place in the village, the cause in the writ petition is rendered ineffective.

The statement of Standing Counsel for Gram Panchayat and Assistant Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj, as noted above, is placed on record, and the writ petition is dismissed. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
