HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION NOs.26784, 26809, 26817, 26910 & 26922 OF 2019 COMMON ORDER:

When these matters are taken up for hearing, counsel for the petitioners had contended that though the petitioners have executed the works successfully in pursuance of the work orders, payments are not being made to them by the respondents. Counsel for the petitioners had further contended that the respondents filed counter affidavits, where a stand is taken that the respondents would settle the bills of the petitioners within a reasonable period of time. Therefore, counsel for the petitioners had contended that appropriate orders be passed in these writ petitions directing the respondents to settle the bills of the petitioners within a reasonable period of time, preferably within two months.

Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has also not disputed the above said facts.

This Court, having considered the submissions of learned counsel for respective parties, is of the considered view that these writ petitions can be disposed of directing the respondents to settle the bills of the petitioners in pursuance of the works executed by the petitioners, within a reasonable period of time, preferably within four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above directions, these writ petitions are disposed of. No order as to costs.
