Heard both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners as well as the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

The prayer sought in the writ petition is as under: " For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, it is hereby prayed that this Court may be pleased to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly in the nature of writ of mandamus, declaring the inaction of the respondents in not granting Swathantra Sainik Sanman Pension to the petitioners in spite State Government recommended the cases of the petitioners for grant of Freedom Fighters pension and declare the said action of the respondents in not granting pension, as illegal arbitrary and unconstitutional and further direct the respondents to grant freedom fighters pension from the date of their applications nd to pass such other relief or reliefs as this Court may deems fit and proper in the circumstances of the case."

During the course of hearing, it is brought to the notice of the Court that all the three petitioners have died and admittedly, no steps have been taken.

Therefore, the writ petition is dismissed as abated. There shall be no order as to costs.
