HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.21414 OF 2017 ORDER:

1) The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus to declare the action of the 2nd respondent in not issuing the affiliation to the petitioner B.Ed., programme of Two years (integrated) duration with an annual intake of 50 students (1 unit) for the Academic year 2017-2018 as being illegal and arbitrary and consequently direct the respondents to grant affiliation to the petitioner institution B.Ed., programme of Two years (Integrated) duration with an annual intake of 50 students (1 unit) for the Academic year 2017-2018.

2) Though various grounds are raised, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts her prayer seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation dated 14-05-2016 seeking affiliation to their college for B.Ed., course. The same is not seriously objected to by learned Standing Counsel for the 2nd respondent.

3) Having regard to the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation dated 14-05-2016 made by the petitioner in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. There shall be no order as to costs.

4) Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
