Sri V.Ravi Kiran Rao, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that since the period for which the petitioner was holding office is over, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication.

Recording the said submission, the writ petition is disposed of as infructuous. No order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, in this writ petition shall stand closed.
