Petitioners applied for conducting of survey of the above said land. According to the learned counsel for petitioners, though survey was conducted on 7.9.2019 and the same was finalized, so far the result of survey in the form of a report or decision is not communicated to the petitioners. Petitioners allege that though they made several requests to the Tahsildar to furnish the report, so far the report is not furnished.

It is not in dispute that the request to conduct survey of the subject lands was accepted and survey was conducted. The purpose of conducting survey is to identify the land, determine the boundaries and demarcate the land if necessary. Once survey request is accepted and conducted, the result of such survey has to be furnished in the form of a report. Though survey was conducted on 7.9.2019, the decision/report of such survey is not yet furnished to the petitioner.

5.

Therefore, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the 3rd respondent-Tahsildar to intimate the result of survey conducted on 7.9.2019 to the petitioners forthwith. If survey is completed, he shall furnish a copy of the report along with decision. If there is any impediment or survey was not completed or report was not finalized for any reason, the same shall be communicated to the petitioners within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
