HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO ORDER:

This Court, by order, dated 30.12.2016 made in W.P.M.P.No.56824 of 2016 in W.P.No.46146 of 2016, directed the first respondent to consider the representation of petitionerFederation, dated 16.11.2016 and pass appropriate orders as warranted by law and communicate the decision by a reasoned order. Alleging violation of the said direction, this Contempt Case is filed.

2.

When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Government Pleader produced copies of orders in G.O.Ms.No.186 General Administration (I&PR) Department, dated 11.12.2017, G.O.Ms.No.15 General Administration (I&PR) Department, dated 01.02.2018 and G.O.Ms.No.16 General Administration (I&PR) Department, dated 01.02.2018. By these orders, the State Level Media Accreditation Committee (SMAC), District Level Media Accreditation Committee (DMAC), Working Journalists Welfare Fund Committee and High Power Committee to look into the Attacks and Assaults for settlement of problems of Journalists are reconstituted and petitioner-Federation is also included in these Committees. In the representation made by the petitionerFederation, they requested for inclusion of their representatives in the State Level and District Level Media Accreditation Committees and other Committees. On account of the reconstitution of Committees and inclusion of petitioner-Federation in the respective

Committees, the initial grievance is now attended and said orders are passed in compliance of the directions issued by the Court. 3.

At this stage, learned counsel for petitioner-Federation sought to contend that representative of petitioner-federation should be reflected in the Committees. Petitioner-Federation has to nominate its representative. If the Government do not include the name of persons sponsored by the Federation in the respective Committees, petitioner may have grievance. Contempt Case is closed accordingly, leaving it open to the petitioner to take consequential steps.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed. No costs.
