Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, it is noticed that the petitioner has retired from service and at this stage, no Mandamus can be issued in favour of the petitioner. In view of the same, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand dismissed.
