The criminal petition is filed by the petitioners seeking for quash of the proceedings in Cr.No.142 of 2011 of Machavaram Police Station, Vijayawada, Krishna District.

Heard counsel for the petitioners and the learned Public Prosecutor, who takes notice for R1. None appears for the second respondent in spite of notice.

Counsel for the petitioners submits that this case was registered in the year 2011 and interim stay was granted in this petition and that the petitioners may be protected from arrest as they are teachers. Since the crime was registered as far back in the year 2011, the counsel does not pres upon any other reliefs, which are raised in this petition.

In view of the above submission, the criminal petition is dismissed, however, with a direction to the police not to arrest the petitioners unless it is necessary for the investigation.
