Heard both sides. With the consent of both parties the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of respondent Nos.3 to 5 in neither conducting investigation nor transferring the FIR No.146 of 2016 on the file of respondent No.4, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 177, 468, 471, 420 of IPC read with Section 34 of IPC and Section 13 (1)(b)(c) of Prevention of Corruption Act, to the concerned ACB Authorities for conducting investigation and file a final report as required under Section 173 of Cr.P.C., as illegal and arbitrary. 3.

Learned Government Pleader for Home would submit that the matter is pending for investigation and steps are being taken to complete the investigation. According to her, since the said case involves collection of large number of documents, she submits that some time may be given for filing of final report.

Having regard to the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing respondent No.4 to complete the investigation and file a final report, at the earliest. No costs.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed.
