THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.29315 of 2009 ORDER:

This writ petition was filed assailing the action of the Station House Officer, Santhakaviti Police Station, Santhakaviti Mandal, Srikakulam District, in calling the petitioners to the police station unnecessarily and harassing them at the instance of the third respondent.

By order dated 06.01.2010, this Court directed the police authorities not to interfere with the personal life and liberty of the petitioners without following the due process of law. Despite the lapse of over five years, no counter-affidavit has been filed by the respondents.

In that view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of in terms of the interim order directing the police authorities not to interfere with the life and liberty of the petitioners except in accordance with the due procedure laid down by law.
