Respondents The Court made the following:
ORDER:
The petitioners were working as Sanitary Workers in the respondent Municipality. The grievance of the petitioners in this writ petition is that the respondent Municipality is not allowing the petitioners to perform the sanitation duties. The grievance of the petitioners is service grievance as against the respondent Municipality as employer.
2. For the service grievances relating to the Municipalities, the jurisdiction is now vested in the Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal constituted under the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985. The petitioners have to avail the remedies under the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985. The remedy under the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985, is an effective and efficacious remedy and, therefore, the writ petition is not maintainable.
3. The Writ Petition is, accordingly, dismissed, leaving it open to the petitioners to avail the remedies as available under the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
