ORDER

This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "....to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of a writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent herein i.e., the Joint SubRegistrar-I, Rangareddy District to release the document 'P' 1094/07 to the petitioners herein and pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case."

The petitioners state that they entered into an agreement of Sale-cum-General Power of Attorney on 24.4.2007 with the owners of the land in Sy.No.59, Kondapur Village, Sherilingampally Mandal, Rangareddy District for purchase of an extent of Ac.24.00 of land for a total consideration of Rs.24,00,00,000/-. They paid a sum of Rs.6,00,00,000/- towards initial payment before the date of agreement of Sale-cum-General Power of Attorney. When the document was presented for registration, it was kept pending by giving No. "P" 1094/07 and no orders were passed thereafter. Hence, the present writ petition was filed seeking a direction to the 3rd respondent to release the said document. Though no counter-affidavit is filed by the learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the

respondents, based on instructions, he submitted that an order of refusal was passed on 18.5.2007 and the original document was received by the executant on 31.1.2008. In view of the same, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed. However, it is open to the petitioners to take appropriate legal remedies for registration of the document, if any. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
