ORDER:- The grievance of the petitioner in this case was that the police

authorities withdrew the personal security officers (1+1) provided to him earlier.

2. No interim orders were granted by this court in this writ petition.

3. As four years have elapsed since the institution of this writ petition, the cause which was obtaining at the point of time it was filed may not survive at this late stage. In any event there can be no direction to the police authorities to provide personal security officers to the petitioner now basing on the threat perception dating back to the year 2011.

4. The writ petition is therefore dismissed leaving it open to the petitioner to make an application afresh to the police authorities in the event he perceives any threat to his life. If such an application is made, the police authorities shall consider the same in accordance with law and take appropriate action in the matter.
