Karri Veerraju v. State Of Andhra Pradesh, Rep. By Its Principal Secretary
HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.23827 OF 2018 O R D E R :
This writ petition is filed for a writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in harassing the petitioner by frequently calling him to the police station and in not allowing him to move anywhere and objecting every act of the petitioner and insisting him to settle civil dispute pending before the III Additional Junior Civil Judge, Visakhapatnam, in OS.No.91 of 2014 and frequently interfering with the petitioner's peaceful living and liberty, as illegal and arbitrary.
Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home produced written instructions stating that Rowdy Sheet was opened against the petitioner vide C.No.171/Genl/ACP-East/2014, dated 31.03.2014, questioning the same the petitioner filed WP.No.7180/2016 and the same is pending. It is also stated that similar relief sought by the petitioner, earlier, in WP.No.7197/2015 was dismissed on 13.04.2015, and as such present writ petition is not maintainable.
Similar relief sought by the petitioner in WP.No.7197/2015 was rejected on 13.04.2015. In view of the same, no relief can be granted. However the respondent police shall not insist the petitioner to settle the civil disputes pending before the III Additional Junior Civil Judge, Visakhapatnam, in OS.No.91/2014 and the respondent police have to act according to
the police standing orders for calling the petitioner to the police station.
With the above observation the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
