The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondentpolice are not taking action on the complaint of the petitioner dated 31-05-2018 in terms of Apex Court judgment in Lalitha Kumari v. Government of Uttar Pradesh1.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home basing on instructions submits that the complaint of the petitioner was enquired into and the petitioner was also informed on 19-07-2018 stating that the complaint is civil in nature, but the same is disputed by learned counsel for the petitioner. In view of the same, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent-police to follow the guidelines laid down in the Apex Court judgment of Lalitha Kumar's case cited supra, if not already followed. As a sequel to the disposal of this petition, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
