The prayer of the petitioner in this case is to direct the police authorities to provide assistance to him for fixing boundary stones in the property claimed by him in Sy.No.271 of Turkayamjal Village, Hayathnagar Mandal, Ranga Reddy District.

Sri S. Tulasi Das, learned counsel for the petitioner, fairly concedes that there is no direction from the competent civil court to afford such protection to the petitioner.

In the absence of such a direction from the competent court, the petitioner cannot assume as a matter of course that the police are under a duty to aid and protect him while he undertakes the exercise of fixing boundary stones.

The writ petition is accordingly dismissed. This order shall however not preclude the petitioner from availing appropriate remedies in accordance with law before the competent forum.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
