ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "to issue a writ or order more particularly in the nature of Mandamus directing respondent No.1 herein to recruit writ petitioner for the post of Mandal Planning and Statistics Officer/Assistant Statistical Officer and Director of Public Health and Family welfare as petitioner is only qualified candidate in the test conducted on 02.09.2018 as per notification No.12/2018 dt 02.06.2018 issued by respondent No.1 and may be pleased to pass any further order or orders as this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper."

Heard Sri L.Harish, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Sri D.Balakishan Rao, learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent No.1.

It is the case of the petitioner that pursuant to the notification dated 02.06.2018 issued by the 1st respondent, she has applied for the post of Mandal Planning and Statistics Officer/Assistant Statistical Officer.

After undergoing selection process, she was declared to have secured 129.452 marks and she is coming within the zone of consideration. In spite of the same, the respondents have not considered her case for appointment. Hence, she submitted a representation to the respondents on 3.6.2019. But, so far, no orders have been passed thereon.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner contended that appropriate orders be passed in the writ petition directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 03.06.2019 submitted by the petitioner.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 1st respondent contended that case of the petitioner would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed. Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court is of the view that the Writ Petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 03.06.2019 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, pending, if any, shall stand closed.
