THE HON'BLE JUSTICE T.AMARNATH GOUD CRIMINAL PETITION No.8037 of 2019 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioners seeking a direction to 2nd respondent to complete the investigation into the matter and forthwith file charge sheet in Crime No.116 of 2002 on the file of Central Crime Station Police Station, Hyderabad.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the respondents-State and perused the record.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and on perusal of the material available on record, it is clear that though crime was registered in the year 2002, vide FIR No.116 of 2002, in spite of lapse of 17 years, no steps have been initiated for completing the investigation and filing the charge sheet.

It is represented by the learned Public Prosecutor that the case has now been transferred and the same is on the file of Station House Officer, Osmania University Police Station, Hyderabad. 5.

In view of the said submission, the Criminal Petition is disposed of directing the Station House Officer, Osmania University Police Station, Hyderabad, to complete the investigation, if not already completed, in the aforesaid Crime and file his report as expeditiously as

possible, preferably, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
