O R D E R
This writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of mandamus to declare the action of the respondents in trying to dispossess the petitioners from the lands admeasuring Acs.6-70 cents in Sy.No.48 of Lingapuram village, Amaravathi Mandal, Guntur District and Acs.22-12 cents in Sy.No.419 of Dharanikota Village, Amaravathi mandal, Guntur District, pending disposal of O.A.No.116 of 2007 and 60 of 2008 on the file of 2nd respondent - Deputy Commissioner, Endowments, Guntur District, as illegal and arbitrary.
This court while admitting the writ petition on 28.07.2009, directed the parties to maintain status quo.
Though various points are raised at the time of hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioners submit that since O.A.Nos.116 of 2007 and 60 of 2008 are pending adjudication on the file of 2nd respondent, the said authority may be directed to dispose of the matters within certain time limit and till such time, interim order granted by this court may be continued. The learned Government Pleader for Endowments for respondents 1 to 3 and the learned Standing Counsel for the 4th respondent, did not oppose the same and sought to dispose of the writ petition accordingly. Having regard to facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions of the learned counsel, without expressing any opinion on
merits, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent - Deputy Commissioner of Endowments, Guntur District to dispose of O.A.Nos.117 of 2007 and 60 of 2008 in accordance with law after hearing all concerned, as early as possible preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till then the order of status quo granted by this court on 28.07.2009 shall be maintained. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
