THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.27433 OF 2019 ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed by the petitioner seeking to declare the action of the registering authority in insisting the petitioner to pay life tax on ex-showroom price of the vehicle, for its permanent registration, though he paid life tax on invoice price, as arbitrary, illegal and consequently, direct the registering authority to register the petitioner's vehicle without insisting for payment of life tax on ex-showroom price of the vehicle.

Today, when the matter is called, it is represented by the learned counsel for petitioner as well as the learned Government Pleader for Transport appearing for the respondents that the issue raised in the present Writ Petition is squarely covered by the order dated 04.12.2019 passed by this Court in W.P.No.26748 of 2019 and batch.

Following the order in W.P.No.26748 of 2019 and batch, dated 04.12.2019, and for the reasons recorded therein, this Writ Petition is also disposed of directing the registering authority to comply with the Circular Memo of the Transport Commissioner, dated 03.12.2019, and to register the subject vehicle without insisting for payment of life tax on ex-showroom price, but based on the invoice price, if the tax already paid satisfies the tax payable and the vehicle fulfills all other parameters for registration.
