HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.24052 OF 2018 O R D E R :

This writ petition is filed challenging the action of respondent Nos.4 and 5 in calling the petitioner to the Task Force Officer, West Zone, Hyderabad, and in detaining him illegally.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home produced written instructions stating that respondent Nos.4 and 5 are not pressuring the petitioners; that they never called the petitioners to police station nor illegally detained them as alleged; and that crimes are registered against the wife of 1st petitioner, 2nd petitioner and family members of the wife of 1st petitioner. It is also stated that there is no power to Task Force Officials (3 to 4) to register FIRs except cooperating with the SHOs in arresting the accused in complicated cases; and that the task force officials never summoned the petitioner to the police station; and that to save the skin of the accused in connection with Crime No.179/2018, who are none other than the relatives of the petitioners, present writ petition is filed.

Recording the aforesaid submission of the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the writ petition is disposed

of. However, the police shall not call the 1st petitioner to police station and shall not pressurise him to settle the civil disputes, as no crime is registered against the 1st petitioner as on today. However, this order will not preclude the respondent police from investigating the offence. No order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed. _____________________________ A.RAJASHEKER REDDY, J 20.07.2018 t k.
