HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.43932 of 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to call for the records in FIR No.202 of 2016 and to quash the same.

Heard and perused the material available on record. The case of the petitioners is that the 4th respondent lodged the present complaint against the petitioners alleging that the marriage between the 1st petitioner and 4th respondent was performed on 03.03.2016 and at the time of marriage, her parents gave an amount of Rs.8,00,000/- as dowry and since the day one of the marriage, the 1st petitioner along with his family members are harassing the 4th respondent both physically and mentally, for petty issues. The main grievance of the petitioners is that the 3rd respondent, with the instigation of the 4th respondent, is visiting the house of the petitioners and threatening to arrest the petitioners.

Considering the grievance of the petitioners, the 3rd respondent is directed to complete the investigation in FIR No.202 of 2016 as expeditiously as possible and file a final report, if any, either way in accordance with law, without arresting the petitioners. The petitioners are directed to execute personal bond for a sum of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees five thousand only) each with one surety for the like sum each to the satisfaction of the 3rd respondent as surety for their future appearance for the purpose of investigation.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
