This writ petition was filed assailing the action of the Superintendent, Prohibition and Excise, Kadapa, in permitting one K. Narayanamma, the 6th respondent, to establish a wine shop at Door No.6/1025/S5, Hydernagar, Rajampet Municipality, Kadapa District. According to the petitioners, the shop was sought to be situated in a residential locality which would have impact on public order and safety of the students. The writ affidavit however demonstrates that the

6th respondent was permitted to set up the shop only for the excise year 2012-2013 and therefore the issue raised in the writ petition has become purely academic by efflux of time.

The writ petition is accordingly dismissed.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
