Nagarjuna Reddy) This writ petition is filed for issue of habeas corpus by quashing detention order dt.5.6.2016 passed by respondent No.2 vide proceedings in SB(I) No.314/PD/S-2016, in respect of one Mr. Intikhab Alam @ Asif, S/o. Mohd. Abdullah.

From a perusal of the impugned detention order it is evident that the period of twelve months for which the detenu has been detained has expired on 05.06.2017 and hence the cause in the writ petition does not exist for adjudication on merits.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of as infructuous. As a sequel to dismissal of the writ petition, W.P.M.P. No.55142 of 2016 filed by the petitioner for interim relief shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
