THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SURESH KUMAR KAIT WRIT PETITION No.21780 OF 2016 ORDER:

Vide the present petition, the petitioner seeking a direction thereby directing the respondent to consider and pass orders forthwith on the representation dated 14.10.2015 made by the petitioner in terms of Section 248 (1) of the Cantonment Act, 2006.

2. Heard both sides.

3. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submits that similar issue came up before this Court in W.P.No.1817 of 2010 and this Court by order, dated 09.03.2015, directed the respondents therein to consider the representation and pass orders within a period of six (6) months from the said date.

4. Accordingly, while disposing of the Writ Petition, I hereby direct the respondent to decide the representation of the petitioner as noted above within six (06) months from today in terms of Section 248 (1) of the Cantonments Act, 2006. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
