P. Venkat Raju, East Godavari District.

... Petitioner And The State of Andhra Pradesh, Rep. by its Principal Secretary to Government, EFS & T Department, Secretariat Buildings, Hyderabad and others.

... Respondents This Court made the following:

THE HON'BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE SRI KALYAN JYOTI SENGUPTA AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.847 of 2015 Order: (per the Hon'ble the Chief Justice Sri Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta) This Writ Petition is filed alleging inaction on the part of the A.P Pollution Control Board in not taking any steps against the fifth respondent, which is an industry, polluting the environment in all respects.

According to the writ petitioner, the fifth respondent - Industrial Unit is required to be shifted to some other place as a measure of causing pollution.

We think this problem can be looked into by the Pollution Control Board and the learned Standing Counsel for the Board could not inform us that any action has been taken or not. It appears from the Writ Petition that the petitioner has approached the number of authorities and persons for redressal of the grievance. We do not see that any action has been taken in the matter. In the circumstances, we dispose of the Writ Petition directing the Pollution Control Board to look into the complaint and make an enquiry, of course, after hearing the unofficial respondent and take decision in accordance with law. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. No costs.
