Petitioner contends that his grand father died while in service on 26.03.2016. He was working as Village Revenue Servant, at the time of his death. Petitioner applied for provision of appointment on compassionate grounds on account of death of his grand father. On consideration of the prima-facie claim of the petitioner, the Tahsildar, Papannapet Mandal (3rd respondent) addressed a letter dated 21.09.2016 to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Medak (2nd respondent) requesting to consider the claim positively and to pass appropriate orders. Alleging inaction on the recommendations made by the 3rd respondent and not granting employment even after one year of the death of the grand father of the petitioner, this writ petition is filed.

Having regard to the recommendations made by the 3rd respondent, in his letter dated 21.09.2016, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to take decision on the recommendations made by the Tahsildar and communicate the decision by a reasoned order to the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
