THE HON'BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE SATISH CHANDRA SHARMA AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE N. TUKARAMJI W.P.No.23623 of 2017 ORDER: (Per the Hon'ble the Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma) The present writ petition has been filed by the Telangana Agricultural Workers Union and its General Secretary, R. Venkatramulu, stating that the General Administration Department has issued a Notification, vide G.O.Ms.No.420 dated 13.09.2005, and as per the said Notification, all orders, rules, regulations and special rules issued by the State Government from 13.09.2005 shall be published in Telugu language only as per Section 3(2)(ii) of Andhra Pradesh Official Language Act, 1966.

It has been stated that because the Telangana State Land Acquisition (Consent Award, Voluntary Acquisition and Lump-sum Payment towards Rehabilitation and Resettlement) Rules, 2017 (for short 'the Rules') were not notified in Telugu, they cannot be given effect to. The Rules have come into force in 2017 and at this juncture, the question of passing any order in respect of the Rules does not arise. However, the State Government shall ensure compliance of their Notification dated 13.09.2005, in case it has not been superseded or repealed.

With the aforesaid, the writ petition stands disposed of.
