THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No.12700 OF 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the second respondent in not filing the final report in crime No.32 of 2011 by the Old Guntur Police Station, Guntur.

A counter affidavit is filed stating that due to administrative reasons, charge sheet was not filed earlier and now the charge sheet is filed before the VI Additional Junior Civil Judge, Guntur, on 22.03.2017. In view of the same, no further orders are necessary in the present writ petition. However, the Superintendent of Police, Guntur District shall call for the report in connection with crime No.32 of 2011, dated 10.02.2011, and take appropriate action for negligence in completing the investigation and filing final report, as could be seen from the counter affidavit that the crime was registered on 10.02.2011 and the charge sheet was filed on 22.03.2017, after filing the present writ petition. The writ petition is accordingly closed.
