THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE SANJAY KUMAR AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE T.AMARNATH GOUD WRI T PETI TI ON NO.24304 of 2018 ORDER: (per SK,J) Challenge in this writ petition was to the e-auction sale notice dated 08.06.2018 issued by the Canara Bank proposing to conduct the e-auction sale of the secured assets on 17.07.2018 pursuant to the proceedings initiated under the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002. While so, we are now informed by Sri G.Praveen Kumar, learned counsel representing Sri Dishit Bhattacharjee, learned counsel for the Canara Bank, that the e-auction sale scheduled to be held on 17.07.2018 failed for want of bidders.

In that view of the matter, the challenge in this writ petition is rendered purely academic and does not warrant consideration on merits. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed on this short ground leaving all issues open. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
