THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C.PRAVEEN KUMAR W.P.No.22795 OF 2009 ORDER:

This writ petition came to be filed seeking to issue a writ of Mandamus to declare the action of respondent No.2 in impounding the passport of the petitioner bearing No.B-2682812 vide intimation dated 9.9.2009 as illegal and arbitrary.

2. At the time when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner stated that nothing survives for adjudication in the present writ petition as the passport was renewed and handed over to the petitioner.

3. Recording the statement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and since the renewed passport was released in favour of the petitioner, this Writ Petition is closed. If the petitioner is aggrieved by any of the proceedings, he is always at liberty to avail the remedies under law. There shall be no order as to costs.

4. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
