This writ petition is filed by the petitioners declaring the proceedings dt.17.02.2003 of the first respondent in transferring the petitionersSecurity Guards from Vizianagaram region to Rajahmundry region as arbitrary, illegal and to direct the respondents to continue the petitioners as Security Guards in the office of the Regional Manager, Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, Vizianagaram or at any other place in Vizianagaram region and grant such other relief as it deems fit in the circumstances of the case. The learned counsel for the petitioners contends that the petitioners are Class-IV employee and as such, the respondents are not entitled to transfer them from one region to another region, as it was done in this case. He also submits that as per the transfer policy of the Corporation, Security Guards are liable to be transferred within the region.

The learned counsel for the respondent Corporation states that as per the relevant guidelines, the respondent authorities are entitled to transfer the employees from one region to another region. By order, dated 23.09.2003 this Court granted interim suspension of the impugned order with a liberty to the respondents to transfer the petitioners anywhere within the Vizianagaram region and the same is binding all these years.

In view of the above, it is open for the respondent authorities to follow the relevant guidelines, if they intend to transfer the petitioners.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed. No order as to costs. ___________________________ A.RAJASHEKER REDDY, J.
