THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO Crl.P.M.P.No.17247 of 2014 in Crl.P.No.16101 of 2014 and Crl.P.No.16101 of 2014 Common Order:

The de-facto complainant and her counsel Sri A.Rama Krishna are present. Accused and their counsel Sri J.Subba Rao are present.

Heard both sides.

On the report given by the complainant the Police Falaknuma PS registered FIR No.282 of 2013 against the accused for the offences under Sections 498A IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act and investigation is pending. Now, it is submitted by both the parties that at the intervention of elders parties have settled the matter in respect of above crime and they are living together and hence compromise may be recorded and proceedings in Cr.No.282 of 2013 on the file of Falaknuma PS may be quashed in the interest of justice. Having regard to the above said submission and considering the fact that it is a matrimonial matter and parties have amicably settled their disputes among themselves and no useful purpose will be served in continuing the criminal proceedings and following the decision reported in Gian Singh v. State of Punjab and

another[1] proceedings in Cr.No.282 of 2013 on the file of Falaknuma PS are hereby quashed.

In the result, both the petitions are accordingly disposed of.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
