ORAL ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for petitioner and leaned Government Pleader for Revenue and with their consent writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

Petitioner made representation dated 19.3.2019 to 3rd respondent-Tahsildar stating that he purchased land to an extent of Ac.0.30 guntas and Ac.0.31 guntas in Survey No. 251 (totaling to Ac.1.21 guntas), Kongara Kurd village, Maheshwaram mandal, Ranga Reddy district and requested to mutate his name in the revenue records. Petitioner also filed consent letter of his vendors dated 21.7.2018 referring to case No. B/ 1656/2018 before the 3rd respondent and requesting to transfer the land in favour of petitioner. Admittedly, petitioner has not filed application in prescribed form 6-A for mutation of his name. It is not clear as to whether notices were issued or not.

Under the Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Passbooks Act, 1971 and Rules made thereunder, a person interested can also file objections on the claim made for mutation and mere consent given by the vendor does not mean sufficient compliance of the requirement of the Act. Therefore, petitioner is granted liberty to file application in prescribed form 6-A through online web portal. On filing such application in continuation to the representation made by petitioner on 19.3.2019, same shall be considered and disposed in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of submission of prescribed application.

Accordingly, writ petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, are closed.
