HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A. RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No.15338 of 2017 O R D E R:

This writ petition is filed by the petitioner to declare the action of the respondents 3 and 4 in calling him to their office and making him to sit all through the day in their office without there being any involvement of the petitioner in any crime.

2. Learned Assistant Government Pleader, on written instructions, submits that on a complaint of Mohd. Gulam Afroz S/ o Gulam Dastagiri Razack of Hyderabad, a case in Cr.No.298 of 2014 was registered against the brother-in-law of the petitioner and his whereabouts are not known. When the whereabouts of the brother-in-law of the petitioner knows to him, in order to avoid investigation in the said crime, the present writ petition is filed. The police also denied summoning of the petitioner and asking him to sit in the police station. They also stated that they never interfered with the life and liberty of the petitioner.

3. In view of the denial of the respondents 2 and 3, no further action is needed in the present writ petition, except directing them not to harass the petitioner in connection with Cr.No.298 of 2014. It is open to them to continue the investigation in the said crime in accordance with law.

4. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of. No order as to costs. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand dismissed in consequence.
