Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the respondent.

The present Writ Petition came to be filed seeking a direction to the respondent to rectify the mistake in the passport of the petitioner bearing No.F3307749 dated 19.04.2005 with regard to the date of birth shown as 05.01.1966 as per the Board of Secondary Education march certificate. On 31.10.2008, this Court while issuing notice before admission, posted the matter to 21.11.2008. On 31.12.2008, this Court directed the petitioner to make a detailed representation before the respondent seeking correction of his date of birth as 01.09.1969 instead of 05.01.1966, in which event the respondent was directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders as per law, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of representation from the petitioner.

In view of the above, nothing survives for adjudication in this Writ Petition, as the petitioner is said to have made a representation seeking necessary correction and if any order is passed on the said representation, within a period of three weeks from the date of the said representation, it is always open to the petitioner to challenge the same. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
