B.Venkatesh, v. The Chair Person,
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION NO.15554 OF 2017 ORDER:
1.
Petitioners claim that they have been working as casual employees in the erstwhile State Bank of Hyderabad, which is now merged with State Bank of India. Their services were utilised for various menial works by the respondent-Bank. Petitioners claim that having regard to the work rendered by them, their eligibility and availability of regular vacancies, their services should be regularised. Ventilating their grievance, the Association of the petitioners, represented by the National Convenor, submitted representation to the Hon'ble Minister for Finance, Government of India. The Finance Department, in turn, forwarded the representation to the Chair Person of the State Bank of India by its letter dated 02.09.2016.
2.
Since the grievance of the petitioners is now referred to the Chair Person of the State Bank of India, without expressing any opinion on merits, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to examine the claim of the petitioners and take an appropriate decision in accordance with law, assigning reasons in support of the decision taken, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within two (2) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand disposed of. ____________________ (P.NAVEEN RAO, J) 27th April 2017 RRB
