M/S. Bhavani Silica Mines v. The Government Of India

When the matter is called, a status report submitted by the Assistant Director of Mines & Geology is placed on record by the learned Government Pleader for Mines and Geology. The status report reads as under: "1. The Bhavani Silica Mining Lease was granted for Silica Sand over an extent of 16.487 Hect for a period of 20 years in Sy.No.257/P, 263/P and 271/P of Vellapalem (V), Chillakur (M), S.P.S.R. Nellore District. Further the lease was executed on 27.08.2005 and it will be in force upto 26.08.2025.

2. At present the Mining Lease is under operation and has obtain Enviornmental Clearance also and taken dispatch permits for a quantity of 9900 MTs of Silica Sand on 30.09.2016.

3. Further it is submitted that, the Department of Mines and Geology, is not initiating any action for determining the lease at present and not disturbing the petitioner.

This is submitted for kind information."

On noticing the same, learned counsel for the petitioner has requested this Court to place on record the contents of the said status report and dispose of the writ petition.
