HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO CRIMINAL PETITION No.3476 OF 2013 ORDER:

In this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, petitioners/A1 and A2 seek to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.319 of 2012 on the file of Judicial First Class Magistrate, Prathipadu, registered for the offence under Section 498-A, 494, 182 r/w 34 IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

When the matter came up for hearing, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor produced the letter dated 11.07.2018 of Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police, Prathipadu Police Station, East Godavari District and submitted that the case has been compromised before Lok Adalat on 28.09.2016 and therefore, the petition which is filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.319 of 2012 has become infructuous and hence the same may be dismissed.

In view of the above submission of learned Public Prosecutor, the Criminal Petition is dismissed as Infructuous. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
