Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Services-I appearing for respondents. With the consent of both the parties, the writ petition (TR) is being taken up for disposal.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the present case is squarely covered by the orders passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in State of Karnataka V. Umadevi1 and others; and Division Bench of this Court passed in WP No.27217 of 2017. 3.

learned Government Pleader for Services-I appearing for the respondents has fairly acceded the above facts and submits that respondent authorities may be directed to consider the case of the petitioners in terms of orders passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in State of Karnataka V. Umadevi and others; and Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court passed in WP No.27217 of 2017, dated 19.09.2017. 4.

In view of the submission made by both the learned counsel, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent authorities to consider the case of petitioners in the light of orders passed by the 1 2006(4) SSC1

Hon'ble Supreme Court in State of Karnataka V. Umadevi and others (cited 1st supra); and Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court passed in WP No.27217 of 2017, dated 19.09.2017 and pass appropriate orders strictly in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order and communicate the same to the petitioners.

Accordingly this writ petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand closed.
