This petition is filed for a writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondent police in not taking action against the unofficial respondents 4 and 5, pursuant to the complaint dated 09.07.2018, as illegal and arbitrary and for a consequential direction to the respondents 3 and 4 to act upon the complaint and take action against the unofficial respondents and their associates, in accordance with law. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home produced written instructions stating that the 3rd respondent enquired into the complaint of the petitioner dated 09.07.2018, having received the same through the Superintendent of Police, Guntur District, and found the same to be civil in nature. It is also stated that petitioner was informed about the same.

But, the learned counsel for the petitioner disputes the same. In view of the above, the 3rd respondent is directed to take action on the complaint of the petitioner in terms of the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari v. Government of Uttar Pradesh (2014) 2 SCC 1, if not already taken. No order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
