The grievance of the petitioners in this writ petition is only as to non-disposal of the appeal being AS No.1/17/C3/ROFR, said to have been filed by them before the 2nd respondent.

Petitioners state that pending disposal of the appeal by the 2nd respondent, the unofficial respondents are trying to interfere with the possession of the petitioners' land in question. Hence, this writ petition.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader for Social Welfare for official respondents.

Inasmuch as the grievance of the petitioners is only as to non-disposal of the appeal filed by them before the 2nd respondent, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the 2nd respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioners in AS No.1/17/C3/ROFR, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till appropriate orders are passed by the 2nd respondent, status quo obtaining as on
today shall be maintained by the parties. The miscellaneous petitions if any pending shall also stand disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
